Kalispell man proposes to girlfriend in proposal of viral puppy. >
KALISPELL - Joel Booth and Kadie Latimer had been dating for almost three years. So when Joel decided to propose something to Kadie, he knew he had to be special.
The couple had been talking about getting another dog to keep their golden retriever company for 3 years.
When Joel began to have the idea of proposing something to Kadie, he knew that he had to include this new secret pet. Booth hid the golden retriever puppy from Bowie for a week before proposing marriage to Kadie.%MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c510% %MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c511%
"I went and hit her and caught her, and I went and hid her for a whole week so that Kadie didn't know it. It was very stressful. Just worrying that the day before she knew it and the surprise was ruined," Joel explained.
He took some planning, with the help of a wedding photo shoot of a couple with photographer Rachel Catlett and her husband Jeremiah, Booth did it.
Catlett told MTN News that she and her husband had never made a surprise proposal and was extremely excited.
“When the time came for me to put on her normal clothes and know what was going to happen, my heart was pounding. So, we had the puppy hidden with a friend and Kadie had no idea what was going on, "Rachel Catlett said.%MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c512% %MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c513%
At first, Latimer thought that Booth had taken the puppy from a nearby camp as a joke, and she had no idea that the puppy was for her.
"It was then that he handed me the dog and said: & # 39; well, don't you want to see what it is called? & # 39;. Then, I looked at the collar and said that Kadie and I thought at the beginning, why would you name to the dog Kadie? name. Then I read a little more and he said: would you marry me?
Wanting to share the photos with family and friends, photographer Catlett published some photos of the proposal to Dogspotting Society, which is a Facebook group for dog lovers.
"Therefore, I just posted about 10 photos there and immediately it just exploded and I didn't expect that. They are very nice photos, obviously, but I just didn't expect attention. My phone was just exploding and I had 50,000 likes and 15,000." cried Catlett.%MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c514% %MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c515%
It was shortly after that, TODAY's program called.
"I felt surreal, I definitely checked the website to make sure it wasn't spam, just to verify that it was real," Catlett explained.
Catlett says the photos have become international, even published by Daily Mail.
While Booth and Latimer have not yet set a date for the wedding, they are fully occupied with the new dog Bowie and the other dog Jackson.%MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c516% %MINIFYHTML2171347fae00819b0be10ed8c358f7c517%
