Pointing, preparing for the landing.

The prominent circular structure in this image, taken by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, has been called Jezero Crater. It is the landing site chosen for the Mars 2020 mission and, as such, is a frequent spotlight for observation from above.

The image has been artificially colored by NASA personnel, but those colors correspond to different types of sediments, in particular, clays and carbonates, transported through carved channels billions of years ago when Mars had a lot of water.
