Campbell, who appeared on "Love Island" in 2017 and is scheduled to appear on MTV's "The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2" thanked his followers on Instagram after undergoing surgeries after a blow to the eye by a cork of champagne
The accident resulted in a horrific injury, he said.
"Yes, basically, two eye surgeries later after a really unfortunate accident, I lost all vision in my right eye, since it broke in half, who would have thought that a champagne cork would be my end," Campbell wrote in the Title of a photo showing him blindfolded in what appeared to be a hospital bed. "But I still have 1 eye, looking at the positive side of things."
Campbell, 28, joined the photo with his girlfriend, the former "Love Island" contestant Kaz Crossley, 24, whom he thanked for flying to be with him.
On Wednesday he tweeted that he had received 7 stitches in his eye.
"I currently have 7 stitches in my eye (disgusting) and doctors say it is unlikely that I will see again correctly, they did a good job of saving it, since they said I could lose my entire eye," Campbell tweeted. "But I'm hopeful and I don't want to believe that my eye is gone forever. Anything is possible."
