After Twenty-one pilots They were forced to cancel the night two of their shows in Toronto because the Raptors reached the NBA Finals, the band opened some more sections of seats for the first night. That was not the only surprise that the band had prepared for the fans of Toronto, since Tyler Joseph gave the letter of "Smithereens" an update after the cancellation of the program.

On May 26, the band shared the unfortunate news that their second concert in Toronto would be canceled due to the NBA Finals.

Later, TOP opened some more sections of seats to accommodate two night fans.

During the show, Joseph decided to give the lyrics of "Smithereens" an NBA makeover.

"For you I would like / Sing this song in Toronto / For you, I know / Sing even though they canceled our show"
